BSEN 1563:1997 Grade 600-3

Ductile or spheroidal graphite iron is used when the requirement demands impact resistance and more flexibility in operation. Our long term experience with heavy machinery manufacturers in the UK and Europe means that we have been tested to the highest standards.

Moulding in green or resin sand, utilising bench moulding, plate mounted and snap flask methods, allied to major sourcing partners in the high pressure, semi and fully automatic processes, Sigma ASL has redefined the provision of casting manufacture in Asia.

Our manufacturing and inspection engineers are hand picked and trained to deliver these basic metal products, to ensure conformity to specification, repeatability of the process and quality control of the method, with basic "non-cored" products through to "multi-cored" complex configurations.

Products are available in a number of primer and paint finishes, including powder and epoxy coating, and both tooling and patterns can be manufactured from sample, drawing or 3D models at competitive prices in Asia.

Aluminium

As the most abundant metal on earth, aluminium is used in a multitude of industrial applications. It has good electrical and thermal properties, and is light and easily worked, with excellent corrosion resistance.

At Sigma ASL our core competences cover aluminium base alloys – LM4, LM5, LM6 and LM25, stress relieved or fully heat treated. All tooling and patterns are manufactured form drawings or 3D models at competitive prices in Asia.

Sigma ASL offers a full capability in cast aluminium alloys, in both gravity die and high pressure gravity die casting. Our core capability extends beyond the basic product capability, and into complex and demanding requirements for international automotive, truck and bus and agricultural OEM manufacturers in Europe, UK and the USA. All products can be primed or painted in a variety of materials including powder coat and epoxy finishes.

Our Korean supply partners in this material are some of the most capable, and amongst our longest serving manufacturers in Asia, with a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the industry.

Sigma ASL is proud to be able to work within this demanding industry with our capable and professional supply base, and can offer highly technically proficient sources, in both Korea and China with a key selection of effective foundry and machining partners, fully proven within both ISO 9001; 2000 and TS16949:2002.

Stainless Steel

As a long term supplier of stainless steel into the European and North American OEM automotive markets, Sigma ASL has developed several core manufacturing partners in both China and Korea.

Utilising the investment casting route, lost wax method, we source a range of products in grade 304, 310, 316, 416 and 431 materials machined and inspected to the highest standard "lineside", to locations in the UK, USA and Mexico.

With casting capability from less than 0.5kg up to 50kg, using automatic shell and core moulding and lost wax processes, and complete with on-site machining capability, our core suppliers offer a one-stop stainless steel solution, within ISO and TS manufacturing environments.

At Sigma ASL we firmly believe we can offer competitive quotations and technically excellent solutions to the provision of stainless steel, from basic to complex products. With significant available capacity we are looking to expand this supplier base within this increasing and competitive market.

Let us offer you that manufacturing advantage.

Steel Medium and Heavy

Operating production of carbon steel within the requirements of BS3100 and an ISO management system, our key suppliers for medium and heavy steel produce medium castings from 0.5kg up to 40kg, using the lost wax process.

Heavy product supply continues up to 500kg+ utilising the resin sand method within pre-framed pattern equipment and steel moulding boxes. All products can be simple "non-cored" versions through to products requiring "multi-cored" assemblies.

Our approved supplier base along with our in-house qualified engineers operating out of Asia-based offices, provide the technical expertise in patterns, material flow and feeder design, to enable our key supply partners and engineering team to achieve stringent customer material soundness requirements. These include gamma x-ray, usltrasonic and magnetic particle checks using independent laboratory verification.

All products can be finished in a variety of primer and final coatings, including powder coat and epoxy, and all patterns and tooling are developed from samples, drawing or 3D model at competitive costs in Asia.

Sigma ASL is proud to present its core competence in ferrous products, and is continually looking to develop this demanding and expanding element of the global castings supply business.
